America’s Got Talent: The Champions fianle: Could Darci Lynne, Preacher Lawson win?

Within this article, we want to narrow down the list of contenders to six people who we do think that, in one way or another, have a chance at walking away with this on the other side of the last episode. They all performed great tonight, and they have at least something that nobody else in the competition has.
Darci Lynne – Creativity. She is the most-unique of all of the acts, and tonight she delivered something that we’ve never even seen from magnificent ventriloquist Terry Fator — an operatic performance using one of her puppets. It’s hard to imagine her not placing in the top half of things, at least.
Preacher Lawson – Laughter. He’s upped his comedic game tremendously the two times that we’ve seen him on AGT: The Champions, and he may be pound for pound the funniest comedian who’s been on this show. His set was unique and creative, and we think he stands out from the field given his act is so different.
Kseniya Simonova – Artistry. While she’s a longshot, we’re not ruling her out on the basis of what she did on the show tonight. She tells stories using such a unique style and craftsmanship that she could easily capture the imagination of super-fans everywhere.
Susan Boyle – Nostalgia. How can you not include her after she recreated her first viral audition on Britain’s Got Talent from almost a decade ago? It’s still remarkable to listen to after all these years and it brings all of those memories back of hearing it for the first time.
Angelica Hale – Power. She’s an awesome vocalist with a great voice, and she’s shown new dimensions of her range and ability on The Champions. She’s already so good as a singer, and it’s certainly not lost on us that she’s the only two-time Golden Buzzer recipient on the North American show.
Shin Lim – How does he do what he does? It’s a question that defines him as a performer as what he delivers is such a visual, stunning performance from start to finish. He’s going to get undue flack for doing a similar performance from the past, mostly because singers reprise things all the time.
