‘American Idol’ notes: Adam Lambert, Lee DeWyze, Casey Abrams

For our Tuesday edition of “American Idol” notes, we are going to start things off with some rather hysterical comedy courtesy of an Australian talk show.

In appearing on “Rove L.A.” (which you can see more of below), we have quite possibly one of the most entertaining interviews related to Adam Lambert to date. Why? The interview was not just focused solely on Adam, but also had Kristen Schaal and Russell Brand included on it for good measure. We don’t really know what else to say about it outside of the fact that it is completely hilarious. At one point, Russell licks Adam’s ankle, and we also have a discussion as to what swear words are appropriate on TV.

After watching this, can we petition for this show to happen on a weekly basis from here on out?

A new Lee DeWyze video – As if you still want to watch some more video footage today following that 50-minute laugh-a-thon, we also have the latest chapter in an AOL web series entitled “Greetings From Home.” This is the ninth episode of it, and it features Lee DeWyze stopping by and performing his recent song “Fight.” Lee also appeared on the Hallmark Channel Tuesday in an interview alongside his wife Jonna Walsh, but we have not had a chance to see that late.

Finally, some love for Casey Abrams – We’ll close things off for giving some love to our favorite “lumberjack,” whose new song “Get Out” is finally on the cusp of cracking the top 40 of the Hot AC chart. The most impressive thing about this here is that he has done it with pretty much no major promotion, on a small label, and over a long period of time. Sometimes, this is the way in which potential hits are made. We’re just really happy for him since we know he put so much love into this music.
