Blindspot season 4 episode 13 video: Air Force One is hacked!
Beyond that, though, we also have a feeling that the case-of-the-week here is exciting enough on its own when you think about the struggle at the center of it: The hacking of Air Force One. How do you make things more intense than this? We’re not entirely sure that you can. It’s a high-stakes environment for the FBI to throw themselves into, given that you have the most important airplane in the entire country and only a limited amount of time in order to help before things go impossibly awry. How much time, to be specific? Think 20 minutes, at least based on what we hear in the promo. We almost wonder if this is an episode that could have a feel that is similar in some way to 24 — we don’t need to see Blindspot suddenly become the continuing adventures of Jack Bauer, but there would be something rather exciting in seeing the team deal with things in a way that mirrors how anyone would in life.
If you do love drama, this episode will deliver a lot of that … and really, it could be a nice culmination of the past few weeks as a whole. We’ve seen a lot of storytelling as of late that’s been about trying to get Jane right and the FBI team back to what it once was. This could be in some way another test of that, and an opportunity to see how the writers establish a team dynamic for this current iteration of the show.
So who is responsible for this? Based on the synopsis that is out there already for this episode, all signs suggest that Madeline is the responsible party. In the end, though, this may be one of the cases where the responsible party doesn’t matter all that much; instead, the chief focus here may just be trying to find a way in order to get everyone out in one piece. They can think about the long-term goals on the other side.
