With the “Game of Thrones” cast keeping quiet while shooting a decent chunk of season 3 in Dubrovnik, Croatia, it is a bit of a slow time when it comes to some news about the show pouring in. However, we do have something new to discuss now when it comes to a new character who is confirmed to be shooting at the moment with one of the most-anticipated new stars of the series. Of course, we are talking about former “Avengers” (the TV show) star Diana Rigg playing the role of the “Queen of Thorns” Lady Oleanna Tyrell.
In a post on Twitter, one of the show’s actors in Will Rastall confirmed that he had just shot a scene with Rigg, which is a pretty incredible experience for any actor to have. (Then again, so is getting the opportunity to film anything for the hit HBO series.) Rigg is only one of the many major inclusions on the show this season, as some of the others include the likes of Cirian Hinds as Mance Rayder, Paul Kaye as Thoros of Myr, and Clive Russell as Brynden “The Blackfish” Tully. Based on some photos that were snapped months ago on the show’s Northern Ireland set, we know that the Tully family name has been a key component of the entire series thus far.
While Rastan is set to be leaving the set soon, many of the actors will be present in Dubrovnik for at least several more days as they continue to shoot some exterior shots at “King’s Landing.” As we have said before, the next destination for producers appears to be Morocco a little bit later this month.
Have you seen what George R.R. Martin had to say yet about some of the shockers that are going to be coming up on the show this season? If not, you really should take off over to the link here.
