‘Gossip Girl’ season 6 spoilers: Nastiness and questions

In just one week, “Gossip Girl” is going to be back with some all-new episodes over on The CW; but before we come to that, we already have all sorts of situations worth addressing when it comes to some of these characters on the Upper East Side.

So what pair of characters is looking to shine bright this season? If you read our site regularly, then you already know the answer here to be none other than Chuck and Blair. However, you would have to be silly here to think that the drama when it comes to this show is going to stop with that. According to a new report from Entertainment Weekly, there are going to be two characters who are going to be in a worse state than ever by the end of next week’s episode. What are the candidates? At the moment, we are looking at Chuck/Blair (which seems unlikely), Serena/Nate, and Serena/Blair. Really, anything involving Serena at the moment seems to be a pretty solid bet considering that her character has more or less devolved into a mess over the past year or so.

Will these two characters be able to rebuild? We’re betting on it, mostly because there will be so many episodes left to build on a friendship or a relationship, depending on who the two characters are. No matter what happens, we are just hoping that it gives us a satisfying ended rather than something shrouded in ambiguity. While this works for some shows (“Lost”), it doesn’t for others.
