ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 5 spoilers: Who’s going to be singing soon?

There is a new episode of “Castle” set to air a little later this fall where music will play an integral role; and while this is not going to be the show’s equivalent of “Once More, with Feeling!” from “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” it does sound like one of the cast members is at least being given an opportunity to bust out some of their vocal pipes.

So who is the lucky man? It’s none other than Esposito! Speaking in a new interview with Wetpaint, Jon Huertas explained that one of our favorite members of the force is going to be showing off a whole new side of himself during an upcoming episode that will be all about a rock band:

“There’s a case with a band, which I thought was really amazing … They gave us an opportunity to really play with how we film the show, and they allowed me to actually sing in the episode on camera in front of everybody. I think it’s Episode 4. It’s a lot of fun. You’re going to love it!”

Huertas is far from the first singer on “Castle” who we have seen showcase their vocal talents, as we have also seen Tamala Jones’ Lanie bust out her singing voice in a season 4 episode of the show. As for if the show could ever do a full-on musical, it seems unlikely given the tone of the program; but anyone who has seen “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog” already knows that Nathan Fillion can sing, Plus, Stana Katic has a voice that actually has some of the similar vocal qualities of Adele. We really don’t know how this could ever happen, but we definitely want it to after hearing what some of these actors are capable of.
