Going into the nomination ceremony, it was 100% clear that Head of Household Tom Green was going to do what he could in order to nominate Lolo Jones, Ricky Williams, or Natalie Eva Marie in some configuration. He realizes that those three are the most threatening players and it’s not something personal stemming from what happened during his past Head of Household reign. He’s just realized that he needs to play a little differently and for now, that means having individual conversations and trying to leverage himself for the future. He clued in all three of his targets and that he was going to put them up while trying to also leverage some sort of deal with many of them in their own way.
At first, it seemed as though Tom was going to nominate Lolo and Ricky for eviction, leaving Natalie sitting on the outside. However, after some conversations with most of the house, he started to think that nominating Natalie and Ricky was a better choice. It’s certainly a better choice for much of the house, who views Natalie as the biggest threat and the person who needs to go. Tom may be targeting Ricky, but for everyone else, Natalie is really the person to hone in on. (Kudos to Kandi Burruss, who really deserves credit for convincing Tom to put Natalie on the block.)
Remember that while it’s possible in theory that Lolo could win the Veto and remove Natalie, it would take a huge swing for someone other than Ricky to go home. Tom would still have the tiebreaker even if Lolo and Natalie voted to keep Ricky in the game. He’s going to be okay this week provided that he doesn’t do what he’s done in the past and cause a total dumpster fire.
