‘American Idol’ notes: Adam Lambert, Scotty McCreery, Jessica Sanchez

We have some good news to share when it comes to our Monday morning edition of “American Idol” notes, and on this occasion we’re starting things off with some big news for those of you hoping to hear Adam Lambert on the radio again.

The latest from “Trespassing” – Adam’s new single off of the album of the same name is going to be hitting your local station soon, and he tweeted out a series of important dates to keep track of. The official “add date” for the son is a week from today on October 8, and a special-edition “Trespassing” EP featuring the radio edit of the song along with some special remixes is going to be coming out a week from tomorrow on the 16th.

Is this a make-it-or-break it sort of single for Adam? Hardly, but we do figure that both him and RCA are hoping for a bit more of a radio hit here than what they had with “Better Than I Know Myself” and “Never Close Our Eyes.” It’s become a hard battle for many former “American Idol” stars to get their songs on the radio as of late, but the good news for Adam is that he has a devoted base of people who are going to be requesting this tune left and right.

Scotty album details – Are you hoping to by “Christmas with Scotty McCreery” overseas? Well if so, the good news here is that you are not going to be forced into waiting any longer to buy it than you would be if you were in America.

Here is what Scotty posted on his Twitter account on the subject:

BigNews! Christmas With Scotty 2b released globally; digitally all markets; physical release in Canada, Australia, South Africa & Philippines!”

The release date for this album is set for October 16.

Jessica Sanchez is home – Just in case you haven’t heard just yet, we thought we would close things off here by sharing that the season 11 star has finally arrived back in California following a stint in the Philippines that lasted for nearly two weeks. In addition to performing with the rest of the top ten, she stayed a little bit longer in order to do some promotional gigs with a few performances mixed in.
