America’s Got Talent: The Champions results: Did Jackie Evancho, Shin Lim advance?

Tonight’s America’s Got Talent: The Champions episode delivered all sorts of great material — yet, at the same time, only two acts could advance. We already knew that sand artist Kseniya Simonova was moving forward due to Terry Crews’ Golden Buzzer, but what about the other act? That’s what the super-fans were there to decide in the end. Almost no matter what, there was a chance that someone was going to be upset.

On paper, the acts who we thought had the best chance of advancing were either Shin Lim or Jackie Evancho, based mostly on their name recognition and the quality alone. Yet, Lost Voice Guy had a great story and Cosentino delivered a fairly exceptional performance of his own. There was a chance for a few different surprises at the end — this show has certainly managed to deliver some surprises already this season!

The first act that was announced for the final three tonight was actually Attraction, and they were there in the end alongside Sons of Serendip and then also Shin. Shin ended up advancing to the next round of the show! That’s great news, but we’re still shocked about the final results as a whole.

Let’s put it this way — Lost Voice Guy and also Toko Myers have won Britain’s Got Talent in the past. Meanwhile, Jackie is one of the most famous contestants in the history of the entire show. It’s shocking that they were not even in the top three and that probably does speak to the overall level of competition. Another theory? Maybe some of the super-fans didn’t want to put any singers through after so many already advanced. There’s a lot of crazy stuff to think about here, and the finals are officially going to be coming in a single week’s time! We are certainly excited to see some of the drama unfold from here.
