The Resident season 2 episode 13 video: Devon learns about Julian

In the sneak peek that we have for you below, you can get a good sense as to the latest events. Conrad calls up Devon to inform him of some very troubling news: They have found Julian’s car. We know from the midseason finale that the car was jettisoned off the road, but what we still don’t know is whether or not she is actually still alive. While Conrad tells him that they found the car, no one has found her body.
Why wasn’t her body in the car? If there’s a case for her still being dead, you can make the argument that maybe someone over at Quovadis found a way to pull her body out of the water and dispose of it in some other way — or, you could just make the argument that she’s skipped down and taken off somewhere else, where she has some sort of new persona and life for herself. We imagine that either one of these scenarios is possible, though many others are possible as well for a show like this, which is not really afraid to take any sort of big, dramatic risk with some of its characters.
Easily, the most haunting part of this sneak peek is seeing Devon have a quick flash of Julian as he ponders precisely what is really going on here and if there is a way to help this woman who he clearly cares about. What Devon doesn’t quite realize is that Quovadis themselves is doing what they can in order to plant evidence in his direction, making it appear as though he has done something to Jenna Dewan’s character. The complicated relationship history is already there and beyond that, we know that Devon ended his relationship with Priya because of his feelings for her. We know that these characters have quite the tendency to spin stories however they see fit, so this couldn’t be a problem for them.
In the end, let’s just say that we’re very afraid for Devon, and the worst may still be to come for this character.
