Jane the Virgin season 5 spoilers: The Middle alum Eden Sher appearing
Anyhow, we do at least know that Sher does have another exciting gig coming up on a quality show in The CW’s Jane the Virgin. According to a new report coming in via Deadline, you are going to have a chance to see Eden in a major recurring role on the fifth and final season. Unfortunately, there aren’t many details out there about the role, save for the fact that she will be involved in the telenovela world featuring Rogelio and River.
Jane the Virgin will premiere in just a matter of several weeks, and it’s certainly been a long, tricky hiatus for many reasons — with the biggest one being the cliffhanger. It’s pretty hard to really get over what happened at the end of season 4 involving Michael, and we’re hoping that the show finds some sort of resolution to that while also delivering a little bit more of what you would expect to see from the story ahead.
In the end, we do think that this final season will be delivering a satisfying outcome to a lot of people who have been waiting to check out the series for such an extended amount of time — that means offering up some great comedy, a few meaningful moments, and establishing plenty more craziness in Jane’s world. We do know that there is an anthology-based spin-off that is coming up, but it’s technically set within the world of Jane’s literature more than it is the actual world of the show itself. While that has not been officially greenlit just yet at The CW, it’s really hard to envision a situation in which they wouldn’t want it! This show, as a whole, has been a critical darling for the network for the better part of the past several years. Hopefully, Eden Sher will be able to add to that.
