Designated Survivor season 3: The latest tease; who is Lorraine?

So while we wait for more of the show, why not have a little bit more fun? This is the focus of this particular article, as we come bearing a fun little behind the scenes tease via star Italia Ricci, which you can see at the bottom of this article. While in one way this is great advertising for the New York Times crossword, this is also a little bit of hype for one of the new characters this season in Lorraine.
So who exactly is Lorraine, and why should you be excited to see her? Julie White is playing the character, who is a campaign manager who is going to do what she can to help in President Kirkman’s re-election campaign. He finds himself facing a big challenge, given that he is the first incumbent President in history running as an independent. Typically, the deck would be stacked against him given that he’s not going to have party money backing him up. Luckily, Lorraine knows a thing or two when it comes to spinning a narrative — she ran a PR firm before taking on this post, and she is extremely savvy and will love taking on this challenge.
What’s also interesting about this character is that at first, she actually was hesitant of taking on the challenge of this campaign. There is a little bit of self-awareness here that working with Kirkman could be disastrous, which makes some sense given that you’re talking about someone who really does not have any experience at all working in an election. He’s never run one in his entire life!
As we look towards the season premiering later this year on Netflix, one of the most important questions to ponder over is simply this: How far is Lorraine willing to go in order to ensure that Kirkman takes home a win? Ricci’s been with the show over the past couple of years and she’s seen a lot of characters come and go. If she is saying that this is her favorite character, we like to think that there is a pretty good reason for it.
