The Bachelor spoilers: Heather Martin, Colton get closer to a kiss

Entering Monday’s new episode of The Bachelor, the spotlight is on Heather Martin. We’re not altogether shocked as to why. The show has made a pretty big deal out of the fact that she has never been kissed before. She’s also been surprisingly involved in some of the conflicts — not so much that she fights, but she does have a tendency to pass a lot of information along.

The sneak peek that we’ve got below (via Entertainment Weekly) appears to be about more about the former than the latter, not that this should really be a surprise to anyone. A lot of this preview is all about whether or not we could see Colton and Heather kiss, and also some of the nervousness that she has over it. She claims that she’ll be more than fine if he does decide to kiss her, but for some reason, the camera guy decides that this preview is the best time to give us a number of extreme close-ups on Colton’s face — especially his lips — while he is in the middle of eating stuff. Who decided that this was a good idea, or that he would look somehow appealing in the midst of doing something like this? It’s really super-gross, but clearly, the folks behind the scenes with The Bachelor don’t care all that much about that.

Another funny moment, at least for us, comes here courtesy of Colton asking Heather if she blows kisses … almost as though that is somehow even remotely similar to kissing someone. For Heather’s sake, we hope that she does kiss Colton, mostly so that this does not stay as her narrative for the remainder of the time that she is a part of this franchise. (She seems like one of those people who would be asked to do Bachelor in Paradise in a heartbeat, though we don’t think that she’s a huge contender to win this season or be The Bachelorette based at least on the edit that we’ve seen so far this season.)
