Celebrity Big Brother 2 live feed spoilers: The Miss Cleo controversy (day 18)

This morning, we’re here to break down one of the more unfortunate sagas that played out on the Celebrity Big Brother 2 live feeds. It’s an issue that could’ve easily been avoided, but we wonder if it will have any impact at all on the game.

Here’s where we are on it right now — Tamar Braxton is the swing vote in the eviction tonight and she decides whether or not Kandi Burruss or Joey Lawrence leaves the game. Everyone knows that she’s got a lot of power on it. This is when Tamar was informed last night by Lolo Jones about some comments that Kato Kaelin was planning to make in his nomination speech about how she looked like Miss Cleo and, therefore, she should have seen the nomination coming.

Should Kato have said this? Absolutely not. With the history of African-American caricatures, you never want to do something to compare a minority woman to some over-the-top character who previously appeared on TV. It was in super-poor taste on his part and he’s certainly getting the blowback on it online. Yet, there’s also something interesting that Kandi pointed out to Tamar: If this first happened back when Kato was Head of Household, this is something that Lolo’s known about for a long time. Why say something now? It’s clearly a means in which to get her more on her side and it’s a strategy in that way more so than her trying to be a good friend.

So, in the end, we’re not sure that it will influence Tamar’s decision all that much tonight. If she keeps Kandi, it’s because she wants to spend more time with Kandi. She won’t be doing it out of support for Kato, who has virtually nobody left in the game other than Tom and Dina Lohan. We just wonder how in the world tonight we’re going to get all of these people in the same room for the eviction given just how ugly things have been as of late. We mostly wonder if there’s going to be even a mention of this on the show or if everyone will be, more or less, on their best behavior.
