The Cool Kids episode 13 return date: ‘Sid’s First Relationship’
Let’s start off here with the bad news — you are going to have to wait for a little while in order to see the Martin Mull comedy in action. There is no new episode next week because of Hell’s Kitchen airing a two-hour block of episodes; meanwhile, there is no new episode in two weeks because of a two-hour block of Last Man Standing episodes coming up on the air. The next installment of The Cool Kids is coming on Fox on Friday, February 22, and the story here is going to be about Sid trying to find a way to make his relationship with John work. We imagine that there is going to be a good bit of comedy here, but at the same time, a lot of heart. That’s one of the charms of this series — the characters do feel like real people who go through struggles anyone does.

The gang rallies around Sid to help him through his commitment issues to new beau John. Meanwhile, Margaret attempts to conquer her fear of flying by volunteering at the airport in the all-new “Sid’s First Relationship” episode of THE COOL KIDS airing Friday. As we move through this episode, we imagine that there will be some opportunities for character development … but also a breezy pace. This show knows what it is at the moment and, because of that, it can continue to embrace this in every way that it possibly can.
While the long wait for new episodes is certainly unfortunate, at the same time there really isn’t all that much to worry about when it comes to the long-term future. The ratings for The Cool Kids are such that it is one of the most-successful new comedies of the year. The fact that it has been able to do this on Friday nights is all the more impressive, and that is why you should feel rather confident in there being a season 2 at some point in the future.
