If you want some more information on Reddington’s latest scheme, all you have to do is take a look at the official The Blacklist season 6 episode 6 synopsis below:
02/08/2019 (09:00PM – 10:00PM) (Friday) : When Red (James Spader) is sent to a federal medical institution following his request to the court for a psychiatric evaluation, Liz (Megan Boone) and Jennifer (guest star Fiona Dourif) use his time away to search for a Blacklister they believe may have valuable information about Red’s past. Ken Leung, Becky Ann Baker, and LisaGay Hamilton also guest star. TV-14 V
So basically, Reddington is going to do everything that he can in order to mess with his case in its current form. Given that we consider him to be more mentally-aware than almost any other character on this show, it’s hard to really imagine a scenario here in which the institution finds him insane or in need of substantial treatment. Maybe he is looking to stall, or maybe he is thinking in terms of some other sort of mysterious plan. When it comes to Raymond Reddington, we’ve come to learn over time that he doesn’t often move in a straight line when it comes to some of his plans. One way or another, he often finds a way to surprise.
As for the search for clues on Reddington’s past, we don’t blame Jennifer and Liz at all for striking while the iron’s hot. They really have no other choice but to do so, and we certainly do think that they will run out of time if they spend too long on this. Liz especially knows how dangerous and how smart Reddington can be; if he senses trouble, he is going to act on it. He’d be foolish not to.
