Poldark season 5: Eleanor Tomlinson, Aidan Turner wrap up filming
In a post on Instagram, Eleanor Tomlinson made it clear that today was her final day for the BBC series, and it appears that the same can be said for both series star Aidan Turner and also Luke Norris. Given how these three have been a fundamental part of the series for many years, it does make sense that the show ends its run with the spotlight firmly on these three. They’ve been rather busy over the past several months working to perfect this last batch of episodes, which will focus on new challenges for Ross and Demelza following the death of Elizabeth. You, of course, want to hope that their journey will be a happy one, and it may be in the end — yet, we’ve learned from watching Poldark over the years that more than likely, there are going to be a number of bumps in the road they experience along the way.
With filming done, the cast is now free to do some other projects and for these two, we imagine that there are going to be plenty. Aidan is always rumored to be attached to all of these big-name movie roles, but it’s felt a little bit more like the press just trying to get page views than necessarily anything being locked down for him. We’ll wait and see what the future holds for him but we know that in terms of talent, he’s going to have all sorts of great opportunities coming in the weeks ahead. Tomlinson already filmed another project in The War of the Worlds, and hopefully this is something we’re going to get a chance to learn a little bit more about in the near future. (It’s definitely a far cry from Demelza!)
As for when you are going to be seeing Poldark season 5 on the air, think in terms of this summer in the UK or this fall in America — we haven’t heard any information to suggest that the dates are changing, so this is what we’re going with for now.
