Celebrity Big Brother 2 review: Who got the Power of the Publicist?

Tonight, we knew that Celebrity Big Brother would be bringing a lot of different things to the table — but we were mostly about the power.

For the past day or so on the feeds, we’ve gotten a chance to see all sorts of foolishness themed mostly around the Power of the Publicist — something that was revealed on this past live episode of the show. We know that someone in the house was granted it, but it wasn’t entirely clear as to who. Now, that’s starting to be clear thanks to the air show.

So who actually ended up getting it? As it turned out, it was Tamar! It’s hilarious that the person who quit the HoH Competition was rewarded with the power, but if you’re genuinely upset about this, you may be taking this game a tad too seriously. It’s fun! Tamar brings the entertainment and that’s why she won it. Plus, the idea of watching Tamar try to play the power is also going to allow us a chance to see something fun down the line. She actually does kinda need it, given that it’s hard to imagine her being super-safe in the weeks ahead thanks to her status on the outside of the main alliance.

Other than the power…

There was some really funny stuff in this episode, most notably Tamar Braxton’s decision to quit the haunted house Head of Household because it was too scary for her. The HoH was pretty inspired overall and it offered up a good bit of comedy. We also got a chance to see Tom talking in the confessionals about why he was eager to take out Ricky Williams, who he did consider to be the biggest overall threat in the entire house.

This was an entertaining episode mostly from paranoia’s sake — Tom Green is already starting to go downhill, even though he just won Head of Household. He nominated Kandi Burruss and Joey Lawrence for eviction, but this may not be the end of his plans. He is thinking about backdooring Ricky, and there’s also a good chance that Tamar and her power could still be in play. We know that Tom’s alliance is Team Fun, but you could say the same thing about anyone watching the live feeds this season.
