America’s Got Talent: The Champions results: Did Paul Zerdin, Drew Lynch advance?

We knew as we moved into the final results of the episode, we knew that we were going to be seeing Kechi in the final. Personally, the second person that we would have put through was Kenichi, but we have a great deal of personal bias with this given that he is probably our favorite act of all time. Of course, we also have a few other contenders in here in Brian Justin Crum, Drew Lynch, Tape Face, and also Paul Zerdin. All four of these guys were tremendous and you can make a case for all of them moving forward.
The top three – It kicked off with Brian, and then following that, we ended up seeing Paul get the next spot — no real shock there, given that he is a former champion. There were, ironically, two more acts that tied to enter the top three were Tape Face and Drew Lynch. We’re bummed that Kenichi wasn’t a part of this! He deserves to be there and it’s a hard pill for us to swallow.
As for who was going to get through, it was easy to eliminate Drew and Tape face because they were tied, which meant that it was really down to Paul and then Brian. Brian is the one who deserved to go through! Based on tonight’s performances overall, we probably would’ve put Brian and then also Kenichi through — we wouldn’t have given the golden buzzer to Kechi, just because we want a little more variety at the end of the competition and not so many singers.
Now, we have a finale that features a ton of singers from top to bottom, though there is at least a chance for some variety to come through in the fifth and final show that is airing next week.
