Celebrity Big Brother 2 episode 6 review: A live Veto & an eviction

Going into the episode, what we knew was simply this: Kato Kaelin nominated Tamar Braxton and Dina Lohan for eviction … and Tamar wasn’t happy about it. She made that more than clear on a couple of different occasions, especially the line involving her son. We do think that Tamar is over-the-top a lot, but we do actually agree with her in this instance. Why bring that up?
Kato’s plan here was fairly simple: Nominating Ryan if he had an opportunity to do so. Ryan and Joey Lawrence even found out about it! The unfortunate thing for Ryan is that he wasn’t randomly chosen to perform in the Veto and Tom Green/Natalie Eva Marie had a chance instead. Joey Lawrence was picked, and that was his only chance of actually keeping the nominations the same, at least on paper. The moment Joey was eliminated, it was clear that it didn’t matter. Tom actually ended up winning the Veto, and that was enough to seal Ryan’s fate. Tom removed Dina, Ryan was nominated, and because of that, there was no way for him to have the votes to stick around with the current configuration.
We’ll say this about Ryan — he was a pretty good sport through most of this, as he decided that he wanted to go out with a laugh and with some positive energy rather than anything that was altogether sad. Now, the question that we have to wonder here is simply this: Who gets to keep the pool now that they set up for him?
Ryan became a little bit more likable as the show goes along, and we actually do think that this show was good for his image — something that we weren’t sure that we were expecting coming into this season. He was even funny in his interview with Julie Chen.
