Next week, The Good Doctor season 2 episode 14 will arrive and deliver a pretty challenging choice for some of the main characters. How do you convince grieving parents to give up the face of their late daughter? How do you show sympathy both for the deceased and a patient who could desperately use it? This is a reminder that there are several different components that go into being a successful doctor, and some of them go beyond just being exceptional at the hands on work of treating patients.

While we’ve seen Dr. Andrews face many a tough decision in his position — it’s not an easy job — the one at the center of “Faces” could be one of the hardest on him. We know at times he’s had a contentious relationship with Shaun, but what happens in this episode could cause him to be viewed in a slightly different light. For some more information, CarterMatt has the official The Good Doctor season 2 episode 14 synopsis for you below:
“Faces” – Dr. Andrews tries to convince a grieving family to donate their teenage daughter’s face to another young girl whose face was horribly disfigured in an accident, on “The Good Doctor,” MONDAY, FEB. 4 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EST), on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand.
Expect this story to be painful — very painful. It also could have far-reaching implications depending on how the case is handled.
What’s happening on the other side of this episode?
The first thing that is worth noting here is that there’s going to be a hiatus of at least a week following this episode — you’ll have a chance to see episode 15 a little later in the month, and that is going to be your first opportunity to see executive producer Daniel Dae Kim on the show as an actor. Depending on how Kim’s Dr. Jackson Han reacts to Shaun, there could be some tension between the two that has a significant long-term impact. It will also be a chance to check out star Freddie Highmore’s work as a director! Remember that The Good Doctor only runs 18-episode seasons, so we will be at the end of this season before you even realize it.
