The good news at present is that there is a new episode airing on CBS tonight. Unfortunately, that’s the only good news. The bad news is that you’re going to be waiting for a good couple of weeks in order to see more of what is coming up around the bend. There is no new episode airing in one week’s time because of the Super Bowl and, on the other side of that, there is no new episode coming up the week after, either. That’s going to be the night of the Grammys, and with that show also airing on CBS, there’s really no way to plug in the Tea Leoni series even if CBS wanted to.
So when it Madam Secretary going to be coming back on the air? Think in terms of Sunday, February 17 with an installment entitled “Something Better.” That’s not necessarily the most revealing episode title in the world, but it does raise some questions as to what the show’s definition of “Better” really is and also who it is in relation to. It may be tied in some way to a campaign promise or just a policy decision. We know that Madam Secretary is a show that often takes a hopeful approach to the world at large and personally, we are hoping to see that furthered along here. We’re crossing our fingers and hoping for a season that contains a whole lot more when it comes to positive energy when it comes to the future of government, especially when you think about what the show is currently immersed in when it comes to an Elizabeth McCord Presidential campaign. We imagine that this is going to be more and more evident through the remainder of the season, though the bulk of it could be saved for a possible season 6.
Alas, this episode is still so far away that CBS has not even released any official information on it just yet.
