Chicago PD season 6 episode 13 return date: Atwater’s undercover case

Let’s go ahead and get the bad news out of the way now: There is no Chicago PD episode airing next week. NBC seems to be fairly-committed at this point to airing all three One Chicago shows on the same night all season, so pending some surprise down the road, we think that we’ll see them all bundled together for as long as humanly possible. All three are returning on Wednesday, February 6, and that includes the upcoming “Night in Chicago.” Just hearing that particular title alone may send a chill down your spine, and you may feel that way even more when you think about what’s happening with one of the major characters in Kevin Atwater. He has been in tough spots before, but this one somehow takes the case.

02/06/2019 (10:00PM – 11:00PM) (Wednesday) : Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins) goes undercover to bring down the longtime head of a criminal enterprise and becomes entangled in a situation that tests his allegiances as well as his conscience. TV-14 D, L, V
So what are we hoping for moving forward to seeing in this episode? We think that one of the questions that has plagued Atwater this season is simply one of where he stands and where he should stand. He obviously cares about being a Chicago police officer, but he also understands that the responsibilities of cops aren’t the same of the people he cares about. He also knows that the lines of justice are not often clear. There are a lot of things that he’s going to think about in this episode, and when it comes to the long-term story for this character there are things we’re still very much curious about. For example, can he get a love interest who actually lasts for some stretch of time, and will we get a chance to see a little bit more of his family again down the line? There’s still a ton we have to learn.
