Game of Thrones season 8: Has Sophie Turner told people about the ending?

Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones season 8 is going to be premiering on HBO this April, and of course there are all sorts of secrets about the story. How is the story going to end? That’s something we know many people want to know about.

However, most of us have a few more months to go before we end up learning the truth … but that’s not necessarily the case for people who are close to Sophie Turner! Speaking in a new interview with W Magazine, here is what the actress had to say about telling some people who are close to her:

“I’m so bad at keeping secrets. I don’t think people tell me things anymore because they know that I can’t keep them. I’ve already told the ending of Game of Thrones to a few people … I was like, ‘Hey if you want to know, I’ll tell you.’ But it’s people that I know, not random people. It’s people that I know will keep the secret.”

It’s probably a good chance that these people are going to keep Sophie’s secret … and that’s probably for the best. We do think that this is one of those things that we all think we want, but the reality is that we don’t. Nobody actually wants to have the show ruined for them, even if on the surface we think that we do. That’s just our impatience talking, since Game of Thrones is a particularly-easy show to get impatient over. Also, it’s been more than a year since the last new episodes aired and that’s making things worse.

What we at least know right now when it comes to Turner’s character of Sansa Stark is simply this: She is going to be spending at least a little bit of time with Daenerys, who she is going to be meeting for the first time. That’s one of the interesting things about Game of Thrones — it really is that much of a slow burn! While the ending of the show does matter, we do think that for the most part, this show is largely about the journey and the time that we’ve spent with some of these characters so far.

Of course, we appreciate Sophie’s honesty within this interview — after all, we’re not altogether sure that any other person would ever admit to what she did here. Nobody wants to risk the watchful eyes of HBO, who are basically a White Walker army in their own right.
