Is God Friended Me new tonight on CBS? We know that the desire for more is certainly there, especially when you consider how far the show has come. Miles is now fairly comfortable in his role helping the God account, and he certainly understands now what it has done for his life.

Unfortunately, there is no new episode coming on the air tonight and beyond that, we could be waiting for some time still in order to see the series back on the air. There is no specific return date out there yet at CBS, and you may be forced to wait for a while. Think in terms of the other side of the Super Bowl. While NCIS: Los Angeles and Madam Secretary are both back with new episodes next week, God Friended Me will be held back due to a Celebrity Big Brother preemption. On the other side of the Super Bowl, there are also the Grammys to think about and they also air on CBS.

What we’re trying to tell you here, unfortunate as it may be, is that you’re probably going to have to wait for a good while to see more of God Friended Me on the air. Because of the Oscars in late February, we can conceive a universe in which the show doesn’t come back until March. That’s especially the case, given that the show only has a 20-episode first season. It could return in March and be done by the time mid-April rolls around. We do know that there are some other plans that CBS has for this timeslot down the road.

Of course, we do think that there is going to be some more big story coming up on God Friended Me when it comes to new Friend Suggestions. We also think we’re going to get a little bit closer to resolving the big God Account mystery. Beyond that, though, we do want to see an evolution to some key relationships. Just remember for a moment here that Miles and Cara’s relationship has been blossoming for some time, and we definitely think the demand is going to be there for the two to become a couple … at least eventually. It really all depends on how quickly the show wants to move things along.

Regardless of when the series returns, though, one thing remains the same — there are certainly many stories still to come and all of them are worth checking out.
