Lucifer season 4 convention teases: What we know now

Lucifer

Lucifer season 4 is going to be heading to Netflix later this year, but this weekend, much of the cast and producers are descending on Brighton in the UK for the Lux convention. It’s a chance for everyone to hear more about the show, and also celebrate their achievements of the past year. The show was saved by Netflix, and as a result of that the creative team could be rewarding us with the best batch of episodes yet.

Through much of season 3, we heard via Tom Ellis that one of the things he enjoyed the most with Lucifer is when the show was good and dark. Luckily, it sounds based on what came out at the convention that this could be the darkest season to date — it could also be the best, something that Ellis was confident enough to say. There’s also going to be a good bit of music featured, more exploration into Lucifer as the Devil (especially when it comes to the Devil face), and also some quality villains. Showrunners Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich also talked about modifying the way that they do cliffhangers this season, which makes sense given that you’re getting the entire season all at once. There’s no reason to encourage viewers to tune in next week, since they’ll already have a lot of the episodes at once!

If you like emotional episodes, we’ve heard that there’s a great one for DB Woodside at one point in this upcoming season — you can go ahead and bank on the fact that there’s some good, emotional stuff coming for Lucifer and Chloe based on the cliffhanger alone.

The biggest takeaway we’ve heard in terms of season 4 at Lux is that it’s going to be bigger, bolder, and more exciting than ever … but we also don’t think it’s a priority for any cast and crew member to give too much away. That’s not really the point of the convention in the first place. It’s really more about just getting everyone together to have a good time and hopefully create some new Lucifans along the way. Anything that generates more excitement for the upcoming episodes! We hope everyone in Brighton is having a wonderful time — and we also hope that there are some people who get to enjoy some other conventions at some point down the road.
