Jersey Shore Family Vacation star Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino begins prison sentence
In a new post on Twitter today, Mike posted the official mailing address for him while he spends his time behind bars. In doing so, he pretty much guaranteed that he will have no shortage of reading material during his eight-month sentence stemming from a tax evasion charge. He knew that this was coming for the better part of the past year and has been slowly building towards it happening. He’s already vowed to be a better person, and that’s something that he’s been putting into motion long before going into his sentencing. You saw a different side of him on the MTV show over the past year, one with a wonderful girlfriend who eventually became his fiancee and then wife in Lauren. He’s also repaired his relationship with many of his fellow co-stars — given the way that the original Jersey Shore ended, we never would’ve imagined that his relationship with Snooki or Ronnie would be anywhere close to what it’s been as of late and that’s been really cool to watch.
So what is the future for Mike on television? It’s possible that he filmed some more footage for MTV before beginning his sentence and we certainly do think that he will be welcomed back on the other side. He is one of the more well-liked personalities on the network and he’s done a rather great job of reinventing himself. His personality now is based more on being relatable, in between his love of a wide array of different foods (and funfetti!) to his “I’m living my best life” catchphrase. Make no mistake — he won’t be living his best life the next few months behind bars. However, moving forward beyond that he may be able to pick up where he left off, and with a wonderful wife at his side.
We’re in the midst of a busy time with Jersey Shore, even with The Situation behind bars. Deena Cortese recently welcomed her baby into the family, Snooki is expecting her third child, and we know that Ronnie Magro is in the midst of even more relationship drama with Jen — basically, the same thing that we have seen with him time and time again.
