Celebrity Big Brother 2 spotlight: Tamar Braxton’s winner odds

The entire Celebrity Big Brother 2 cast is now official, and with that we’re spending this week previewing what to expect from many of them! Consider this article series your guide to understanding what each person brings to the table and also whether or not they have a legitimate chance of winning. Today, the focus is on Tamar Braxton — someone who absolutely has stories for days and could be entertainment gold on the feeds. We also do think that she could be competitive in the game.

Claim to Fame – She’s been a singer and stage performer for decades alongside many other members of her famous Braxton family. She’s also found some success as a solo artist and was previously a panelist on The Real. She’s also done Dancing with the Stars, which she did very well on, but was forced to withdraw due to illness.

Strengths – Tamar’s a fascinating person to listen to because she’s naturally funny and has stories for days — a lot of that comes courtesy of her career, given that she’s had an opportunity to do so many things and see so many different parts of the world. Her social game is hopefully going to be on point because of that. While we can’t speak to her level of Big Brother fandom, we do think that she’s competitive enough that she will fight hard in order to do well in the competitions. It took her health being in danger for her to quit Dancing with the Stars and we definitely think she’ll be a fighter in here too.

Weaknesses – Whether it be on Braxton Family Values or some other shows she’s been a part of, Tamar has been a part of some highly-dramatic situations where there are heated arguments. While these sort of things are heavily encouraged on most reality shows, here you have to know to rein them in a little bit if you want to go far. That’s the danger that we think most reality stars have doing a celebrity show like this: If someone angers you, you have to hold that in and use it against them later. We’re not sure how much Tamar will want to lie, deceive, or hold onto information for later.

Outlook This Season – If she can get in to a good alliance in the early going, we could see Tamar being the sort of person who is fierce within the game and will make some big moves. Yet, we could also see her being on the wrong side of the numbers early and being an easy target. She seems like a feast-or-famine type player, someone who could either go home early or make it very far. It’s hard to imagine anything in between.
