MacGyver season 3 episode 14

MacGyver season 3 episode 14 is coming to CBS on Friday, February 1, and this episode could be (in part) about a wedding. Yet, it’s not exactly going to be the typical wedding story that you’ve seen on TV.

So what’s coming up in terms of the case this time around? CarterMatt has the official MacGyver season 3 episode 14 synopsis below for more insight:

“Father + Bride + Betrayal” – An international crime boss offers Matty a deal she can’t refuse – he’ll surrender himself into her custody if he’s allowed to return to the United States to watch his daughter walk down the aisle. MacGyver and team crash the wedding to ensure the crime lord doesn’t run, only to discover they’re not the only ones lying in wait at the event, on MACGYVER, Friday, Feb. 1 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Of course, we do have to address briefly the elephant in the room here — rumor has it that this may be George Eads’ final episode on the series. Nothing is confirmed on that, though, and there isn’t anything in the synopsis that suggests the character is leaving. (He is featured in the photo above, so obviously Jack will make his presence felt.) Whenever Jack does depart, whether it be in this episode or some other point down the road, we hope that there’s an explanation for it that makes sense.

We don’t want to see the character killed off — it’s certainly possible that he’s just determined that there is another path that his life should be taking. This isn’t the first time MacGyver will have written off an important character — they did it with Thornton in season 1, and they also did it with Samantha Cage in season 2. Granted, neither one of them were as big of a character as Jack. We’re sure that MacGyver, one way or another, will find a way to do this that makes sense whether it happens in this episode or one other way down the road.

Beyond the Jack mystery here, we do think that there’s some potential for this episode to be really fun. After all, who doesn’t want to watch a story that involves a crime boss and a wedding? It seems like there’s going to be a great mixture here of humor and vulnerability.
