In a new post on Twitter today, host Julie Chen made it clear that she is officially back to work on the series — see the photo below! It’s been known for a while now that despite the exit of Les Moonves from CBS, she would be sticking around for a while. We don’t foresee her departing in the near future unless she veers off expectations in a surprising way.
We know that some may be excited to see Julie back, but for most people, the real question they want to know is this: Where’s the official cast? When can we get some discussion on that? We expect it to be revealed at some point over the next several days, with there already being a ton of rumors out there surrounding who they may be. Have we heard a lot of the rumors? Sure, but the thing with preseason casting rumors with any season of Big Brother is that they’re not true at least 80% of the time — even if they are, they are not often finalized and things can change up to the very last minute. While we’ll discuss a few rumors here and there, we don’t want to get too far in the rumor-muck before they are officially announced. We’ve heard of basically the same sort of roster you’d expect — performers, reality stars, and a controversial figure or two.
Rest assured that when the cast is announced, we’ll be back to cover all of them in full both in article and video form — if the preseason drama that we’ve seen so far is any indication, we’ve got a feeling that things are going to get even crazier from here on out.
No matter when things are released, be prepared to buckle up — we’re almost certainly going to be in for a weird, wild, and eventful few weeks! This show has a tendency to entertain and delight thoroughly, even if it’s on for such a tiny period of time.
