According to a report from TVLine, Bennett is set to appear in episode 14 as Quentin, a “wide-eyed government attaché who is grateful when Supergirl saves his life. However, when he shows his true colors by attending an anti-alien rally, Supergirl aims to prove to [him] that not all aliens are bad.”

Basically, what this means is that the anti-alien storyline with Agent Liberty (who is in prison, at least, for now) is going to be going on for at least a little while. There are certainly questions we’ve had as to how the series is going to move forward, especially since it feels like there are two storylines that have been bubbling underneath the surface for a good while now: What’s happening with Lena Luthor and her quest to empower humans, and then also the Red Daughter story with a Russian version of Kara somewhere else in the world. That’s the one that has raised the most questions for us, given the fact that we’ve gotten only a few teases of it here and there starting with the season 3 finale. It’s not exactly clear how that’s going to fit into anything just yet.

Supergirl is going to return with new episodes on Sunday, January 20 — you can get some more information about it here! At the forefront of that episode is going to be us learning how Kara is reacting to her sudden loss of employment at the DEO. She has to figure out now how she wants to move forward with her life and beyond that, at least so long as she doesn’t want anyone to know her secret identity.

Of course, now that we’ve spelled this out we should make it abundantly clear that Kara is going to be issuing quite a challenge on this moving forward into season 4 — after all, Colonel Haley may decide that she wants to know Kara’s alter ego regardless of whether or not she is working with the DEO anymore.

In going back to Bennett, we’re glad to see him getting another role! You can also see him over on MTV, where he is co-hosting an aftershow for the new series Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club featuring his fellow former co-star.
