SEAL Team season 2 episode 13 return date: ‘Time to Shine’ hopes
The bad news, at least at present, is that there isn’t a new episode scheduled for next week. Interestingly, next week the network isn’t actually broadcasting any of their typical lineup and plugging in repeats of shows like NCIS and FBI instead.
According to a new report coming in right now via the Futon Critic, you will get a chance to see season 2 episode 13 (entitled “Time to Shine”) on the air come Wednesday, January 23, and there is a good chance that this will be the final episode of the series before it takes an extended hiatus until March. There are no other ones listed on the schedule for a while and CBS is definitely going to be shaking up their Wednesday schedule in the weeks ahead with The World’s Best, Celebrity Big Brother, and some other programming. Think of it as a small break with the Bravo Team before we get back to some more programming down the line.
As for what we’re going to see on season 2 episode 13 of SEAL Team, we’re crossing our fingers for a smart, standalone mission that gives you maybe a couple of updates on characters like Jason or Clay while also presenting a different flavor or style than what we’ve seen before. This episode is in a tough spot since it’s basically airing on an island, separate from other new episodes and from any sort of significant long-term story. For the writers, this should be viewed as an opportunity to tackle some interesting stuff in a form that they wouldn’t be able to otherwise.
Take, for example, when SEAL Team returns with new episodes in March — the show will have a chance then to maybe dive into some sort of lengthy arc again, given that it will have a mostly-continuous stream of new episodes at that point until the finale. Standalone episodes at that point wouldn’t be as interesting or as valuable as they are now. Here’s a quick reminder that when SEAL Team does return in January, it will be at a new timeslot in 9:00 p.m. Eastern time.

Expect more news on season 2 episode 13 over the next few days; beyond that, we’ll probably have to wait a while before CBS starts unveil anything on the spring batch of episodes. There’s no reason to hurry anything along there.
