Chicago Fire season 7 episode 10 video: Brett, Foster plan career day!

Chicago Fire season 7

Chicago Fire season 7 episode 10, after a long wait, is finally coming on NBC Wednesday night. So what’s coming up? There are going to be some serious moments, but also a few others that are worth smiling about. The Brett – Foster storyline could prove to be the latter.

In the sneak peek below, you can see Boden decide to give these two characters a responsibility that is typically handed over to Casey: Planning some sort of Firehouse 51 career day. It’s a chance to make a great impression on some kids who are coming to the firehouse. You want to make sure that you’re presented in a favorable light, and Brett seems especially eager to take this on with the help of Mouch, Otis, and Cruz.

Probably the best part of this entire sneak peek, though, is the look on Boden’s face when he sees just how excited Brett and Foster are to take this on! For himself, he’s just relieved that this is something that he doesn’t have to deal with anymore. Yet, for Brett this seems to be an opportunity to provide these kids something that she did not have when she was young — some sort of proper field trip. This is one of the best parts of Kara Killmer’s character — she has this interesting small-town background that enables her to look at almost everything through an entirely different lens. We know that we’re actually going to see this small town featured in some form later this season, so be on the lookout for that!

As for Casey…

We do think that it’s super-smart on the part of NBC to not reveal too much of anything when it comes to his fate just yet. This sneak peek is a way to get people excited about one particular part of the story, while also still keeping their cliffhanger up in the air. Remember here that at the end of the fall finale, he and Naomi were trapped within a fire at his apartment — one that seems to have been set intentionally. That’s a mystery that will be fascinating to explore, but it also feels like there are some obvious lead suspects in the trailer executives Casey and Naomi just went after. They’ve clearly got the motive!
