Grey’s Anatomy season 15 episode 9 promo: Meredith, DeLuca, Owen, & more

In this clip, there are a few different things that each take center stage in an important way:
1. The blackout – This is how the fall finale ended — with the lights going out at the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital and with the doctors preparing to scrambling. While we’re sure that this is something that will be taken care of eventually and it is not some sort of long-term problem, it’s not something that we think is going to alter the course of the show.
2. Owen and Amelia – This is an entirely different story. We do appreciate the fact that Owen doesn’t stall on telling Amelia just because of how long we’ve been forced to wait for various parts of this story to come together already. Also, it would have made Owen really unlikable if he knew Amelia had feelings for him and he kept something this important from her. He does still have an important decision to make in this promo doesn’t really give you an indication, one way or another, of precisely what he’s going to end up doing.
3. Meredith and DeLuca – They are going to be trapped in an elevator together, and that could mean that the two have some time to work on their chemistry! We already know that Andrew wants to be with her and it’s really a question here now of whether or not she feels the same way. For now, she’s at the very least not writing him out of the equation.
When it comes to Omelia and Merluca, it’s probably unfair to think that these will be resolved and put together within a single episode — so long as there is movement and we get a feeling that these stories are at least going somewhere, we’ll be reasonably satisfied on the other side of them. There’s still a lot of time left in this season — we’re really only just a third of the way through it at this point!
