Luther season 5 episode 3 preview: Who is Luther able to save?

Luther season 5 episode 3 is airing on BBC One in just one days’ time, which continues the trajectory of us getting a new episode every day until this batch of episodes is done on Friday night. It’s four episodes in just four days, and that does indicate further how important every single hour of this is. You gotta keep some of the momentum going!

So what are we going to have a chance to see? Think in terms of a perilous situation, one that could lead to the title character in John Luther making some key decisions that could further impact his future. The hardest part about this character’s job is some of the decisions that he has to make on the fly — Luther has been at this game for long enough now that he realizes that he cannot just distance himself from some of his choices. They stick with him, especially some of the ones where lives are on the line. There are many a person out there who count on him to do and say the right thing, but regrettably, sometimes the right thing is not a particularly-easy thing to come by.

Over the course of this episode, he will take on a kidnapping and also some other problems, including a violent revenge plot.

As you can imagine, this episode is going to be a pivotal one in setting up the endgame for this season, something that will likely stick with Luther until we get around to whatever comes next. Of course, we constantly have that temptation to start to look towards a season 6 or a potential movie, but admittedly it feels somewhat irresponsible to do so at present given the fact that there are still two more episodes to come here. Before we think about the future a little more, we have to make it through the remainder of the present and there are some particularly high stakes coming that could impact it.
