Chicago Med season 4 episode 10 spoilers: Details on Ian Harding role!

So what role is Harding playing specifically? According to a report from TVLine, that role is a man in Phillip Davis who is in the midst of a grief spiral. He just lost the love of his life, and soon after that he realizes that he is potentially going to also lose his newborn daughter Sophie. She has a heart problem that is going to immediately require treatment, in addition to surgery a little bit later on in her life.
You will have a chance to see Harding on a number of occasions in the second half of the season, as Phillip and Natalie Manning forge a bond — she’s going to be responsible for treating his daughter (who may be able to survive this), and she does also know a thing or two about handling grief. This could be a fascinating relationship to watch unfold and we do appreciate it that Chicago Med is bringing on board a long-term patient for an arc, mostly because it does give you a little more of an opportunity to add weight to what happens in the hospital. When so many patients do routinely flutter in and out of the hospital, it does have a tendency to make you a little more numb to some of what they’re going through.
As for what’s going to be happening with Will and Natalie, the only thing that can be really said at present is that it would be a mistake to completely rule them at — with that being said, Will’s got some work to do. Regardless of whether or not he did what he did with the FBI for good reasons, Natalie still cannot appreciate what happened with the wedding and being kept out of the loop … and that is really just putting it mildly. This is something that she’ll likely have many different opinions on and they’ll have a lot to work through.
