Call the Midwife season 8 episode 1 return date hopes for Helen George, cast

As you would expect, though, there is no universal answer as to when the Helen George series is going to come back on the air, mostly because it depends heavily on where you are. If you are in the UK, for example, odds are you’ll be returning to Nonnatus House sooner rather than later. Call the Midwife has a tendency to premiere on BBC One in mid-to-late January, and given how much advance the BBC gave this series, there is no reason for that to change in 2019. As a matter of fact, there’s no need for the network to slow down when it comes to this show at all. Call the Midwife is iconic, and it’s led to everything from frequent set tours in the UK to it permeating pop culture in a way few other shows do. There’s also a reason why it has an annual Christmas Special — viewers have just become that attached to it over time.
Oh, and we certainly should mention that there is already a season 9 renewal out there. This means that you’ll have at least one more holiday special seemingly, in addition to another batch of episodes.
So what about if you are located in America? Well, you’re going to have to wait a little bit longer for George and the rest of the cast to return. Typically, PBS launches their new Call the Midwife season in the spring and it runs until either May or June. It’s not a super-long series, with there tending to be only eight stories per season. Yet, there’s a lot crammed in to many of them including stories that bring to you ALL of the feels.
The one thing that we hope now is over the course of the next year, there will be news as to whether or not there is a season 10. Like we said, this is the sort of show that could go on forever — provided of course the powers that be really want that to be so. They’ve got some key decisions to make when it comes to the future and we hope that the BBC takes their time and delivers the right one here.
