The Blacklist season 6 spoilers: Liz, Jennifer’s bonding experience

When The Blacklist season 6 premieres on NBC, you are going to see Liz Keen with a very specific goal: Trying to uncover the truth about Reddington. How could she not? After what she went through at the end of this past season, she’s going to want to act on it!

Of course, the problem here is not knowing who is the right person to trust in this particular situation, given the fact that Reddington is so manipulative. She has the rare opportunity where she’s got the leg up on him in terms of information — and it’s pretty big information. Nobody until now has known that this Reddington is in fact an imposter!

Luckily, Liz does have one person she can go to in this sort of situation, someone just as invested in finding out the truth as she is: Jennifer. That’s why the two are working together, as the photo below (via TVLine) reveals. They are going to be collaborating through at least the early part of this season to find out more information. Like Liz, Jennifer has the motivation to learn the truth, and it’s also a partnership that they may be able to use to their advantage. It’s almost helpful in some ways that Jennifer doesn’t have the same background in law enforcement that Liz does; she can operate and move about in a way that Reddington would not expect.

Personally, we do have our reservations as to whether or not Liz and Jennifer will be able to keep this secret forever — mostly because Reddington is Reddington and he does have a tendency to figure out just about everything. This is what makes season 6 fun coming into it — it’s a game of cat-and-mouse, and there is no guarantee that Reddington will ever win. We just have our suspicions entering the season because of past history, which is often a pretty big indicator of the present.

While you start to form your own theories as to what Jennifer and Liz could do to uncover the truth about Imposter Red, remember that The Blacklist season 6 will premiere on Thursday, January 3 before premiering in its normal Friday timeslot the following day. We’ll have a whole lot more to report leading up to it!
