Just in case you’re interested in the Dynasty season 2 episode 10 return date following Friday’s installment, rest assured we’ve got that within!
The bad news, of course, is that we’re fresh out of stories for the remainder of the year. The Carringtons are going to return in 2019 with new episodes, though, and the return date is confirmed (via the promo below) to be Friday, January 18. Unfortunately, we’re still a little far out from the episode airing for there to be many details as to what’s going to be coming. The promo hints at a possible jungle extraction-of-sorts for Steven, which would actually be entertaining if the series went this route. (We did hear that the Steven character would return at some point down the line, so anything is possible with a show like this.)
What Dynasty does need to really figure out in the new year, one way or another, is how to craft some more crazy stories that are incredibly interesting and also generate a good bit of conversation. That isn’t admittedly, the easiest thing in the world for a show to do when it’s not generating enormous ratings. It has to find a way to really look outside of itself and how to acquire some viewers who are somewhat outside of their already-established group. Yet, we certainly do hope that Dynasty does figure out a way to do it, given that this is the best way that it can guarantee a spot on The CW’s schedule next fall.
Ratings-wise, the series is clearly in trouble entering the new year; the two things that have saved it so far have been its studio connections over at CBS (it gives The CW a studio balance between Warner Bros. TV and CBS that it craves) and then also its international distribution. The show’s got a great streaming deal outside the US that helps to aid in its financial viability. In general, this network is one of the most-creative out there when it comes to finding unique ways to make money with some of its shows.
