Fuller House season 4 finale review: Stephanie’s baby & the name debate
Of course, before that, we had a story all about Hamilton … and then also sandwiches, to go along with it. At the start of the episode was saw Kimmy, Stephanie, and DJ all choose to attend Hamilton thinking that it would be a great way to escape some of the recent fights that were going on back at home. Yet, soon after their arrival the baby also decided that this would be the right time to show up. They rushed to the hospital, and soon after that many other characters started to trickle in.
For some, it was harder to make the trip than others. Fernando, Jimmy, and Max were heading off on a secret sandwich mission, desperate to grab a particular food item that they had to steer clear from for the vast majority of the pregnancy. Meanwhile, Steve had to hop a flight to be there, and Jackson and Ramona had to find someone willing to drive them — enter Rocki. Even though she had just dumped Jackson earlier in the episode after the big prom debacle, she was the only person they knew of their friend-group with a driver’s license. She was willing to get them there and, in the aftermath of that, actually stick around. After all, she went through a lot to get them there!
At the end of the episode, the baby did arrive and we learned that it’s a girl! However, we don’t know the baby’s name and that seems to be the cliffhanger for now.
As for some happy news…
Stephanie and Jimmy are now engaged! In the closing minutes of the episode Jimmy decided that the time was right in order for him to get down on one knee — she said yes, not that we really expected anything different. That means that for a possible fifth season, we could see a wedding! Wouldn’t that be fun?
There is another cliffhanger of sorts when it comes to the status of Jackson and Rocki’s relationship, but beyond that and the aforementioned baby name, most everything was tied up in the finale. This is a lighthearted show and with that, it was obvious from the start that they weren’t going to deliver anything hugely dramatic over the course of the closing minutes.
CarterMatt Verdict
We knew that the Fuller House season 4 finale would deliver a heck of a lot of fun, and it did deliver (pun intended) with that. Do we wish that it had run a few minutes longer so that characters like Steve could’ve had a larger role, or that we could have found out more about Jackson and Rocki’s future? Sure, but at least we did get the conclusion of Kimmy’s pregnancy and now, Stephanie’s life can start to move in a new direction as a mom. We do think that her baby name should be something that is fun and suitable for her — she’s not DJ or Kimmy and brings her own flair to things.
