The Big Bang Theory season 12 spoilers: Meet Zack’s wife!

Coming up on The Big Bang Theory season 12, we’re going to have a chance to meet a character with a rather-close connection to Zack: His wife! This character has been a recurring presence across the series and understandably so. He has a romantic history with Penny but, beyond that, he was really one of the few “jock” sort of characters who, over time, actually had somewhat of a rapport with the guys.

According to a new report coming in right now via TVLine, Lindsey Kraft is going to be coming on board the CBS show moving forward in the role of Zack’s new bride Marissa, someone who he wants to have a family with. However, that’s not going to be altogether easy for him to do. The synopsis for the upcoming January 10 episode, the first to feature Kraft in some sort of role, offers up details: “Zack and his wife want a baby, but when Zack is infertile, they ask Leonard for help.”

For those wondering, there is an interesting connection that Kraft does have to The Big Bang Theory as a whole — she recently appeared on Living Biblically, a series that was executive-produced by cast member Johnny Galecki.

Personally, we’re glad that the show found a way to factor in Zack to the equation over the course of the final season, mostly because he was at one point a key character and we always did find him fun. Plus, his presence on the show at this point could also force Leonard to ask himself some key questions about himself. Does he want to help Zack out in this capacity, and what does he want of himself as a possible father down the road? We certainly think that these are things that he’ll be thinking about all the more as we get closer to the series finale airing this May.

Also, we do hope that there are some other potential appearances coming down the line from some other The Big Bang Theory notable names through the years. This show has been a collective effort from the start, so absolutely we would like to see as many notable names from the past represented as humanly possible.
