Starz is really going all in when it comes to their promotion for Outlander season 4, at least when it comes to custom emoji.

In preparation for Sunday’s new episode “Down the Rabbit Hole,” the network has put out there another emoji to go along with the one for Jamie and Claire — which can be found using the hashtags #Outlander and #TheFrasers on Twitter, among others. The new hashtag is that of the famous stones of Craigh na Dun, and you can see it be either hashtagging #DownTheRabbitHole or even #CraighNaDun. It’s a good way to celebrate the upcoming episode, which is largely about the journey of Brianna through the stones in hopes of finding Jamie and Claire. She has a very specific reason for her journey — informing the two of them about the first that is going to be taking their lives down the road.

For Starz, it may have made some sense to release a custom hashtag for this given that one around the famous standing stones was first hinted at a little bit earlier this year.

Of the two emoji that we’ve seen for the season, we do think it was probably the right choice for Jamie and Claire to be the primary one for the series. It’s a little bit more distinct for users viewing Twitter on small devices and with that, it’s a little more recognizable. The Craigh na Dun emoji is a little more for diehard fans who will recognize right away precisely what it is that they are looking at; we’re not sure that a casual Twitter user will have as much of an idea.

While this may just be a fun little treat for Outlander fans looking to discuss the series further on social media, we do think that it means a lot that Starz does continue to offer us these little things to fans. In between this and the two-season renewal that is already in the books for the show beyond this current one, they have done a lot in order to show that they are committed to the series and this world in the long-term. Could they do more in theory? Sure — they could give us a Lord John spin-off! We’re mostly joking with that, though, largely because it’s hard to be too greedy when we’re getting so much good stuff as it is.
