The Voice finale rankings: Will Kirk Jay, Kennedy Holmes, or Chevel Shepherd win?

As we get closer to The Voice finale, who is the most-likely contender to win? In this edition of show rankings, we’re going to take a closer look at all of that. We’ve got rankings below for all of the final four, based on a number of different factors — performance quality, fan support, sales, streams, and also just past voting history. At this point in the series, we do think that past history does matter a good bit! It paints a picture that we could see moving forward.

Now that we’ve spelled all of that out, let’s go ahead and get to the rankings…

4. Chris Kroeze – It’s just hard to really envision a scenario in which this happens. He was a surprise to enter the finale and while we think that there’s a clear audience for his music, we don’t think that we’re going to have a chance to see him rise higher than maybe third place.

3. Chevel Shepherd – She’s a great country singer who is versatile in what she can do. The problem is that she’s a country singer on a finale that has plenty of that representation across the board. She’s also not on Team Blake, who we think is more of the dominant team of the group here.

2. Kennedy Holmes – Even though Kennedy needed the save in order to advance, be prepared for her to surprise in the final round. Because there are three contestants who all have country ties, Kennedy could get all of the support from people who are into other types of music. She’ll get a lot of support here … but is it going to be enough for her to win?

1. Kirk Jay – It’s hard to deny the likelihood of Kirk walking away with this for a number of different reasons, starting with the simple fact that he’s just an amazing country singer. He’s also on Team Blake, where many great country singers live, and he’s had a great run as of late in terms of public support and iTunes votes. So long as he continues to do what he’s been doing as of late, it’s hard to see him finishing somewhere other than #1.

The best thing about the finale, though, is that other than Chris, we do think that all of the other contestants do have a relatively solid chance of winning.
