Outlander season 4 episode 7 video: Brianna hits a rough patch

At the bottom of this article, you can see a side of Brianna (Sophie Skelton) where she is very much on her own and struggling after making the decision to travel through the stones back in time. We give her all the respect in the world for making this commitment and trying to go through her plan. Yet, at the same time it’s not going to go anywhere near as well as she hoped. The sneak peek signifies that as she rolls down a hill and, soon after that, realizes that she’s injured her ankle.
One of the realities for Brianna here is that she’s clearly not anywhere neared for these circumstances as she could be. She doesn’t have the super-functional suit that Claire put together to go back in time during the third season. To make matters worse, she’s also traveling alone and also in the cold. She has to hope that she will encounter some sort of kind soul who has an interest in helping her and not just making her life worse.
Will Bree eventually find some help for herself? The short answer to this is yet, as she will encounter some familiar faces for all of us who’ve been watching the show over the years. Yet, that does not mean that her journey will be devoid of struggles. She still have to make it to North Carolina when she is now thousands of miles away and, beyond that, in a different century where such travel is not easy. This is not a situation where she can just hop on a plane and get there in a fairly-limited period of time.
For now, though, we’re mostly just excited about the chance to really dive in and watch a story that is mostly about Brianna and Roger after spending so much time with their story on a slow burn. There have been little teases and opportunities to get to know the characters better, but nothing quite like what we’re going to see coming up. This is, effectively, a chance to blow the whole world quite open and get a look inside their heads. It’s an opportunity to truly understand just how far these two are willing to go for the sake of achieving their goal.
