Fuller House season 5 renewal hopes: Could it happen at Netflix?

Fuller House

Could a Fuller House season 5 happen at Netflix at some point in the future? While you enjoy season 4 right now, this is certainly a good question worth asking.

For the time being it’s clear that almost everything is up in the air … but there has been some reason for fans to be concerned for a little while now. Earlier this year, there were reports that the streaming service was looking to end the family comedy after four seasons, and our initial reaction to it was that of surprise. Netflix doesn’t release ratings information publicly, but even with that being said, all public indications we were getting from season 1 was that this show was an enormous hit.

Is it possible the status changed at some point between then and now? Certainly, mostly because reboots have a tendency to only last for so long and often viewership wanes for them over time once some of the initial hype and nostalgia starts to wear away. This is something to be concerned about with Fuller House, even though it did have an incredible start to its run.

Officially, the jury is still out on the show’s future, but we would certainly like to see it back for another season.

How do you make a Fuller House season 5 happen?

The biggest thing one can do more than anything else is just make sure that you do everything that you can in order to watch the series quickly, and watch it in its entirety at Netflix. These are the two things that the streaming service really looks out for. They want to know that they are drawing a lot of buzz around a given show in just about every single way that they possibly can. Social media traffic also goes a long way here as well since that may help to lure in some new viewers who were not watching the show otherwise.

Of course, we also do need to admit here that this is a strange time for Netflix in general and because of that, nothing is necessarily guaranteed when it comes to Fuller House and the long-term future of the series. Netflix has already canceled Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Everything Sucks!, Daredevil, American Vandal, The Good Cop and a number of other shows this year in what has to be one of the biggest purges that the streaming service has done. We don’t really think that any particular show is safe for them and that’s why continuous viewership and buzz matters more than almost anything else.

Of course, we’ll have more some more news when it comes to the future of Fuller House as soon as some information is in fact available.
