The songs are all listed below…

Team Adam

Reagan Strange, “You Are the Reason” – Love this song. Calum Scott is one of our favorite singers from the past couple of years. Smart choice that could really pay off.

Team Blake

Kirk Jay, “I Swear” – There are some different arrangements out there of this song, but we’re sure that Kirk’s version is going to be spun perfectly into the country mold.

Chris Kroeze, “Can’t You See” – This is a good song, but we don’t exactly think that this is one that will actually lead to more attention — The Voice viewers tend to like songs that are as “big” as possible.

Team Jennifer

Kennedy Holmes, “This Is Me” – It’s a fantastic song from The Greatest Showman, but the challenge here is mostly that this may be the most overdone singing-show song that we’ve heard throughout 2018. It feels like everyone is covering this.

MaKenzie Thomas, “Vision of Love” – Given that MaKenzie has basically taken on a number of iconic big-ballad singers already, why not go ahead and add Mariah Carey to that list?

Team Kelly

Sarah Grace, “Sign of the Times” – The Harry Styles song is extremely popular and with that, maybe she will be able to get some One Direction / Harry fans on her side.

Kymberli Joye, “Never Alone” – One of Kymberli’s greatest strengths is her versatility; we know that she can do gospel, but at the same time we appreciate her being able to jump over and do some other different stuff.

Chevel Shepherd, “Blue” – Early LeAnn Rimes makes sense. This was a huge hit at the time it first came out and country fans have a fondness for it.

In general, we do think that there are really good song choices in the mix — Kirk, Reagan, Sarah, and Chevel in particular have done an excellent job choosing interesting songs that work for them. We’ll see how they fare on the show…
