The Voice 15: Are Kennedy Holmes, Kirk Jay, Sarah Grace top contenders?

The Voice 15

Coming into Monday’s The Voice performance show, who is going to be the most-likely contenders to actually make it to the finale? Given that we’re near the end of the season, this is when you have to start having some of these discussions!

At the moment, we’ve got the remaining artists sorted out into a number of different tiers based on two different factors: Their overall body of work so far and then also the voting history. Artists who haven’t needed the save so far obviously have an advantage on the rest of the field; to go along with that, we’re also partial to ones who are able to figure out how to sell well on iTunes (it’s at least an indicator of possible support, though it doesn’t count like it used to) and social-media popularity.

In danger – We don’t see Chris Kroeze getting to finale night by just about any circumstances — he’s talented, but we don’t really get the sense that he’s going to have the voting numbers to get him further into the competition. Meanwhile, you have to throw Reagan Strange in here, as well. While we do think that her diehard / streaming audience is going to come through for her, the issues caused by Adam Levine could end up rearing their head again.

On the bubble – There are three different artists who you can throw into this group, whether it be Kymberli Joye, MaKenzie Thomas, or Chevel Shepherd. We could see any of them making it to the end of the season depending on the song choice and who comes out for them. MaKenzie has been arguably the most consistent, but Chevel has the country vote behind her and Kymberli has been known to SHUT IT DOWN with the right song choice backing her up this season.

Likely contenders – At the moment, we’ve got Kennedy Holmes, Kirk Jay, and Sarah Grace in this group. They’re all extremely unique, really talented, and can do a lot of different stuff with their music. Kirk is probably the safest bet just because of the fact that country singers often do have a really big edge on this show, but Kennedy is probably the artist of the three with the most promotion. In different circumstances, we’d say that she is the top contender.
