As we approach Monday night’s new episode of The Voice, there is a big question to wonder with Reagan Strange. Will the craziness of this past episode have a larger, lasting impact on her chances to win this season — or even make it to the finale?

As we think about what happened, in between Reagan being unable to perform and her coach Adam Levine throwing DeAndre Nico under the bus (intentionally or not), it does feel like it’s not the best situation for her in the world moving forward. It’s hard to judge whether or not she really could’ve performed from the outside looking in so we’re not going to do that; yet, it does feel like there are some who will hold Adam’s comments against her. Is that fair? Probably not, but that is reality.
If we were Adam or within Reagan’s camp, the best bit of advice we could offer is this: Nothing shuts down hate or negativity like something so positive it’s impossible to ignore. Just go out and deliver your best performance of the season. If that happens, it’s going to help to push everything else in the rear-view mirror. Some will remember it still, but many other people could be a little bit forgiving to the events of the past week. She has performed really well on streaming and that could help to keep her in the competition moving forward.
Regardless of what happened this past week, Reagan did have a diehard contingent of fans entering this past performance show and at this point, we really don’t foresee any of them bailing. They’ll still be around and they will be offering her support.
Reagan’s biggest obstacle
It’s really the same one that everyone else has this season in that there are a lot of tough competitors out there this season. As of right now it feels like Kennedy Holmes and Kirk Jay are two of the biggest contenders, but you can’t rule out people like Kymberli Joye or Sarah Grace based both on the quality of their work and also their performance on places like iTunes or Apple Music.
We’ll hopefully find out some more news regarding song choice over the course of the coming days; stay tuned for some more updates!
