Blue Bloods season 9 episode 10 review: Who is pranking Jamie?
Let’s start things off tonight with Jamie and Eddie, who found themselves yet again in a different spot. Jamie was being pranked and messed with by one of the cops working under him and following that, he tried to figure out what to do about it. Eddie encouraged Jamie to find a way in order to fight back, but he didn’t want to, knowing that there was no 100% proof of anything here. That was when Eddie decided that she wanted to take matters into her own hands and prank him back herself. Jamie found out about it, wasn’t thrilled, and that led to him punishing Eddie on the job for it.
Yet, Eddie was still defensive of Jamie to some others, including her partner Maya, which led to Maya making the conclusion that the two had slept together. Eddie denied everything, but this is the first major crack in their plan to keep the engagement a secret. Jamie, meanwhile, ended up partnering up with the same come that was messing with him, and they ended up getting more respect for each other in the field.
Danny and Baez’s latest case
The two tonight took on the challenge of figuring out what happened to an up-and-coming hip-hop artist, which proved to be both interesting and surprising for a couple of different reasons. For starters, we learned in here that Danny actually knows and understands hip-hop more than we thought. What we did like about this case is that the ending here was exactly what anyone expected, as it turned out one of the suspects (a prominent artist) was as upset about what happened as anyone.
Yet, at the same time, we do think that this mystery could have been so much better in the event there was more time to explore it.
Erin tackles the hard part of the job
She didn’t want to fire one of the ADAs working under her in Martin but as this episode went along, it started to become all the clearer that she really didn’t have all that much of a choice in the matter. What could she really do to someone who was forging secret deals and more or less following his own path on some cases?
Even after Erin fired him, though, she still found a way to get through with him before he ended up making a mistake that he truly would regret.
Frank takes on a leak
This case wasn’t altogether different from some others that we’ve seen from him over the years — it was about police drama, sending the right message, and making sure the officers were all on the same page as it looked like one of them was doing the wrong thing. He had to find the person responsible for leaking a video, one that definitely didn’t present cops in a favorable light.
CarterMatt Verdict
Tonight, Blue Bloods season 9 episode 10 delivered a really solid episode with some interesting storylines for the core characters, though we don’t think that the Frank one lived up to some of the other ones that decorated the rest of the hour. We also do wish that there was a little bit more Christmas as a whole wedged in here.
