MacGyver season 3 episode 11 return date hopes for Lucas Till series

Tonight’s new episode — a very big one for Meredith Eaton and her character of Matty Webber — is the final one of 2018. Sometimes CBS tends to run their episodes a little bit later on in the month of December but this year, they are clearly opting to move away from that in favor, presumably, of having more episodes to broadcast in the new year. More than likely, the return date will be January and it could come as early as January 4. We don’t presume that CBS is going to want to wait too much longer than early next month for a wide array of reasons.
For starters, think here in terms of viewership. MacGyver and many other Friday-night shows do benefit greatly from airing new episodes in January, mostly due to the simple fact that it’s super-cold outside and there are not a whole lot of things for people to do otherwise. Television is the perfect escape during difficult patches of weather and we’ve certainly got a feeling that this is going to prove to very much be the case here. This is a show that is going to bring a heck of a lot of entertaining stuff to the table whenever it comes back, but why wait?
Also, we do think that it benefits a show like MacGyver to get back on the air sooner rather than later because CBS’ schedule is going to get a little bit crazy down the line. Celebrity Big Brother could cause some schedule conflicts at the end of January and beyond that, there are always a few weeks circa March / April where many Friday shows end up going on hiatus due to NCAA basketball. These shows almost have to churn out a lot of episodes early in order to ensure that they can get the entirety of order out there before getting too far into May — a time in which viewers may be choosing going outside and doing other things to sitting around and watching TV.
